Mowed the lawn yesterday.
Wore crocks with socks pulled up over my sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt with gardening gloves to protect myself from poison ivy. Wore a sensible hat to protect my bald head from the sun along with large black sunglasses. Even had orange ear plugs to protect my brain from the loud noises.
Embarrassed?
Not even.
Actually felt smart (on the verge of cocky) that I had avoided potential poison ivy, sunburn, skin cancer, and a splitting headache.
Like a man.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go ice my lower back again.
