My family asked me if I wanted to participate in their March Madness pool for the NCAA’s Final Four basketball tournament.

My sister’s like, “It will be fun.”

All I have to do is guess the outcome of 63 separate games between teams I’ve never seen play and then enter each of those 63 answers into a bracket.

Then I have to pitch in money.

I’m like, “Sounds like a blast. What a great way to unwind, like filling out an SAT test and guessing the next five dozen winning lottery numbers all mixed together for just ten bucks.

“If I pitch in an extra fiver, can I also do some calculus and type out all of the players’ and coaches’ names?”

Supposedly, fifty-six million people will fill out a bracket.

Approximately fifty-five and a half million of them will copy and paste an expert’s picks off the internet and claim them as their own.
